  • Student Presentations Our young leaders give weekly presentations on "Presentation Friday"!  They are preparing now for successful futures.
  • Guest Speakers Our leaders learn from real business and community leaders on a bimonthly basis.  Click on "Guest Speakers for previous and future guest speakers". Â
  • Community Involvement Our leaders learn about community concerns and have visited Operation Push, a City Council meeting, and the Black Wall street economic summit.
  • Hands on Learning Our leaders do a variety of projects which require them to use their knowledge on various topics.

The ability to speak in a variety of situations is imperative for being a leader. Therefore, our students learn how to give various types of presentations including:

  • Poster presentations

  • PowerPoint presentations

  • History fair project presentation 

  • Math fair project presentation

  • Monthly science presentations

  • Debating topics from social studies

  • Student teaching

  • Business Plan presentation
  • Book Presentation to a book store manager regarding selling books that were written by Holman Leadership students 

All students are required to give a presentation twice a month. Students who are watching presentations by others will be required to actively listen and critique each presentation using a rubric.  Students must maintain proper posture and attention during all presentations including those made by guest speakers.  Leaders also recite poetry, give debates and present projects.
